Meet Dr. Lynn Buzhardt

MyPetED Image: Dr. Lynn Buzhardt, Chief Blog EditorDr. Lynn graduated from LSU-School of Veterinary Medicine and practices at The Animal Center in Zachary, Louisiana. Her husband, Dr. Scott Buzhardt, is her practice partner of 30 years. In addition to caring for animals in her medical hospital, she has over 30 years of experience conducting FDA research, new drug protocol review, and marketing of veterinary medications.

Dr. Lynn has served as national spokesperson for animal health companies working with radio, TV, and print media; she authors veterinary articles; and is recognized in the human medical community for her seminars on integrating infants into pet-owning households. She's also the co-author of "Can We Have One?, a Parent's Guide to Raising Kids with Cats and Dogs."

 
 

The four footed members of the Buzhardt family include Scout, a Labrador Retriever, and “grand-pets:” Reese, a spoiled Yorkie; July, an alpha cat who is busy training the newest member of the family; Jake the Doberman pup.

MyPetED Image: Dr. Mike LoSasso, MyPetED Chief News EditorDr. Mike graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University in 1993. After running his own dog, cat and exotics practice for 5 years, he opted to concentrate on emergency medicine.

He has served as the Chief of Staff for the Burleson Animal Emergency Hospital in Burleson, Texas since it opened in 2007.

The non-human family members of the LoSasso family include a tortoiseshell calico cat named Belle, Shoshone, a Cardigan Welsh corgi, and Shamrock, a spunky Norwich terrier puppy born on St. Patrick’s Day.
